C+K: Our Story
Meet the ‘C’: Cody is a born and raised Lubbockite, veteran, husband, dad, friend, and volunteer. He started at a young age working with his dad, learning the art of trimming trees and the value of hard work. He joined the Army a couple years after graduating high school, serving our country for 8 years and 3 overseas deployments. Though his service took him all over the world, and stationed him all across the country, Lubbock was always home.
After the Army, Cody continued to develop his skills and knowledge of the tree world. He spent time learning techniques specific to climbing trees, maintaining tree health long-term, and working with customers to achieve their vision.
After the birth of their daughter, Cody left the tree trimming world to pursue his plumbing license. His abilities as a Journeyman plumber helped many new commercial businesses open their doors in Lubbock, but the dream of one day owning his own tree trimming business never left him.
Meet the ‘K’: Kayla is a Lubbock native and Texas Tech grad (Wreck Em!). She works full-time at her church, while also carrying the proud titles of wife, mom, friend, volunteer, and now co-business owner. She was raised in a family-owned company in Lubbock, and has seen first hand the dedication and commitment it takes!
Kayla has worked for three local companies since graduating from Tech, gaining skills and knowledge in working with the public, technology systems, bookkeeping, payroll, business management, social media, graphic design, corporate professionalism, and so much more. All those years of experience are now working together as Kayla & Cody enter this next chapter!
Meet ‘C+K’: In March of 2024, a dream became reality and C+K Tree Care was born! We are family owned and operated, and we have a desire to serve our community well and keep our town beautiful.
